Two-bedroom waterfront perched 50 feet above Tims Ford Lake with spectacular views. The lower half of a lake home, it has a private entrance and a private covered patio, hot tub, gas fire pit, home theater and floating dock. The living room has a 10' pull down screen with an HD projector and surround sound. There's high-speed wireless internet. The master bedroom has a lake view through 9-foot-wide sliding glass doors. A gas fire pit and hot tub are just outside on the private 400 sq ft covered patio, allowing year-round enjoyment of the lake. There's also a large wood burning fire pit in the yard overlooking the lake. The 300 sq ft floating dock is great for fishing, boating, swimming or just relaxing. Life jackets are provided for the kayaks and pedal boat (TN law requires they be worn by children and present for adults while boating). In the winter, the lake level is dropped 15 feet, making the ramp to the floating dock very steep. The pedal boat is on the dock but the kayaks are on the landing. Getting the kayaks up and down the ramp in the winter is not recommended. On rainy days or at night, the living room has a gas fireplace and can become an HD Home Theater with a 10' pull down screen and surround sound. In addition to the Home theater, there are large TVs in the living room and master bedroom with Xfinity cable, Amazon Prime and Blue Ray DVD players. The second bedroom only has Roku and a Blue Ray player. This property is best for a romantic retreat for a couple, or a couple with one or two children old enough to swim and safely navigate the stairs, ramp and floating dock. This property can be used for two couples, but there's only one bathroom and the second bedroom has no windows. This is not a good property for loud, late night partying. We have neighbors with young children on both sides and prefer they not learn new words, lol. It's a very safe neighborhood with an active neighborhood watch but there is a security camera for your parking area. There's room for two cars only and there are 16 steps from the parking area to the apartment, and another 60 from the apartment down to the floating dock. Sorry, no pets. One of the owners is a retired Respiratory Therapist. Along with strong disinfectants, we use high energy ultraviolet (UVC) for sterilizing between guests. UVC is used by hospitals to destroy bacteria and viruses. We also use small micron air filters for the heating and cooling system and the hot tube is carefully maintained with high Bromine levels. Originally designed as a "mother-in-law" apartment, this 800 square foot property is the lower half of a lake home with a private entrance. The owners travel frequently and are often not present. If they are present, they're usually 'invisible' and the patio, backyard and dock are for exclusive use of the guests during their stay. It's usually peaceful and great for relaxing and fishing. However, in the summer and during holidays, particularly during weekends, neighbors with children and wakeboard boat owners are often present and proud of their sound systems, lol. We're on the main channel and they can rock the dock both acoustically and literally. Twin Creeks Marina is less than 10 minutes by power boat, 15 by car. It has a full-service marina, boat rental and floating restaurant in season. We're 30 minutes from the Jack Daniels Distillery, 90 minutes from Nashville, 75 minutes to Chattanooga and 60 minutes to Huntsville. In addition to water sports, Tims Ford lake has bass fishing tournaments (lake fish include: Bass, Rockfish, Crappie, Walleye, Catfish, Bluegill and Drum). The small historic town of Winchester is 12 minutes away with groceries, several restaurants, a historic two-movie theater and a nearby Drive-in. There are excellent hiking trails near by such as Fiery Gizzard and Stone Door. There's plenty of wildlife including Deer, Red Fox, Red-Tailed Hawks, Blue Heron and an occasional Bald Eagle. With an active Neighborhood Watch program, this lakefront neighborhood is safe and friendly but we do have a security camera watching the parking area just to be on the safe side. Although there is a whip mooring system on the floating dock, it's only for jetskis or very light boats (under1200 pounds). Larger boats should never be left unattended due to large waves produced by storms and wakeboard boats that can damage both boat and dock. The boat ramp and boat parking area are only 500 yards from the house. The floating dock has a Bluetooth controlled sound system, night accent lighting and USB phone charging port (all via low voltage DC power -- safe for swimmers). Can often provide special requests such as cake or flowers upon arrival.

While this room is very small and cozy accomodating two children or one adult well, it may feel tight for two adults. This is the room which we use as the semi-4th bedroom as it is vented to the heating and air system but has no window. The very large boat dock and ramp is conveniently located directly across the street from the home and is property of the neighborhood association. It is of utmost importance that rules are followed and the neighborhood area and neighbors themselves are treated respectfully. You will be furnished a private slip and will be provided the slip number to dock your watercraft if using the dock. It is important to adhere to using our slip. The slip number will be relayed upon booking of the reservation after an understanding has been reached by the guests to follow the dock rules such as no running, no cluttering of the walkways, keeping noise levels low for consideration of the neighbors, etc. Basically, the rules involve common courtesy for others and for safety for all--rental guests, neighbors, and for the neighborhood. For safety concerns, an addendum to the covenants and by-laws requires that children under the age of 16 be escorted by an adult. Also, in showing consideration for the neighborhood residents, we ask that guests park in the home's driveway and/or to the left of the drive on the home's lawn. There is AMPLE PARKING AREA ON THE HOME'S PROPERTY alleviating any need to park on the street. THE BEACH----The sandy public Winchester Beach and picnic area is a nice feature to have located so nearby by merely travelling under the bridge just yards from our community dock. The 4 bedrooms have queen beds, with one having a full bottom bunk and a twin top bunk. Of the 3 bathrooms, two have single showers and the third has a standard size tub shower. The home features Wi-Fi, Roku TV, an open kitchen and dining room, and two levels of spacious covered porches. There is a TV in the main level living room and an open downstairs TV room with a large sectional couch. The lake house has a one slip dock. It also has a fish feeder, an area for cleaning fish, and a place for seating. The single slip boat dock is equipped with a boat lift that routinely lifts 2000 lbs. Directions for use are on the lift console. If you choose to trailer your boat, you can park at the top of the driveway and use the subdivision's private boat ramp .4 mile from the house. If you are looking for additional entertainment, you can rent a boat during your stay from the nearby marina, take a walk in the neighborhood, or explore Tims Ford State Park, which has miles of unpaved hiking and bike trails. You can also visit the Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course at Bear Trace, take a short drive to Lynchburg, TN and visit Jack Daniels Distillery, or even take an hour and a half trip to visit Chattanooga or Nashville! You can park up to four vehicles at the top of the driveway and two at the house. By the way, Tims Ford water levels are lowered 8-10 ft in the winter, and this makes our floating dock up to 100% out of the water during the winter months.

The Hawks Nest Log Cabin was hand-built by our uncle and cousin from cedar trees on the lot about 35 years ago. The cabin is small, but cozy and comfortable. It's perfect for 2 or 3, and can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children, but is really too small to accommodate 4 adults. Both bedrooms and the bathroom are located upstairs. If you have a problem with stairs, the cabin might not be right for you, as the stairs are steep. It is located right on Tims Ford Lake in middle Tennessee, just outside the town of Winchester. It sits at the edge of the lake, surrounded by 4 wooded acres, with its own dock in a private and quiet residential area. There is an outdoor fire pit for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. You will need to provide your own firewood. There's a deck with a porch swing, and another swing down by the lake. You'll find picnic tables and both a gas and charcoal grill for your convenience. There is plenty of shade and it's very peaceful and relaxing. There are games and rainy day activities for children, as well as an outdoor swing set and sandbox. Basic cable TV is available, as well as a DVD/VCR with a small library of movies. No smoking is allowed inside the cabin. Tims Ford is a great lake for fishing, skiing, or boating. There are lots of antique shops and other attractions nearby as well as mountains nearby for hiking. It's 25 miles to Jack Daniels in Lynchburg; 15 miles to Falls Mill with the largest working water wheel in the United States; 17 miles to Sewanee and the beautiful University of the South. The cabin is located approximately 60 miles northwest of Chattanooga, 90 miles southeast of Nashville, and 50 miles northeast of Huntsville AL and the U.S. Space & Rocket Center.

There is also a SUP board and a canoe for you to use, as well as floats and life jackets. The cabin is five miles from Tims Ford State Park, eight miles from Jack Daniels Distillery and downtown Lynchburg, eleven miles from Tullahoma, and fifteen miles from Winchester.

The lower half of a lake home, it has a private entrance and a private covered patio, hot tub, gas fire pit, home theater and floating dock. The living room has a 10' pull down screen with an HD projector and surround sound. There's high-speed wireless internet. The master bedroom has a lake view through 9-foot-wide sliding glass doors. A gas fire pit and hot tub are just outside on the private 400 sq ft covered patio, allowing year-round enjoyment of the lake. There's also a large wood burning fire pit in the yard overlooking the lake. The 300 sq ft floating dock is great for fishing, boating, swimming or just relaxing. Life jackets are provided for the kayaks and pedal boat (TN law requires they be worn by children and present for adults while boating). In the winter, the lake level is dropped 15 feet, making the ramp to the floating dock very steep. The pedal boat is on the dock but the kayaks are on the landing. Getting the kayaks up and down the ramp in the winter is not recommended. On rainy days or at night, the living room has a gas fireplace and can become an HD Home Theater with a 10' pull down screen and surround sound. In addition to the Home theater, there are large TVs in the living room and master bedroom with Xfinity cable, Amazon Prime and Blue Ray DVD players. The second bedroom only has Roku and a Blue Ray player. This property is best for a romantic retreat for a couple, or a couple with one or two children old enough to swim and safely navigate the stairs, ramp and floating dock. This property can be used for two couples, but there's only one bathroom and the second bedroom has no windows. This is not a good property for loud, late night partying. We have neighbors with young children on both sides and prefer they not learn new words, lol. It's a very safe neighborhood with an active neighborhood watch but there is a security camera for your parking area. There's room for two cars only and there are 16 steps from the parking area to the apartment, and another 60 from the apartment down to the floating dock. Sorry, no pets. Along with strong disinfectants, we use high energy ultraviolet (UVC) for sterilizing between guests. UVC is used by hospitals to destroy bacteria and viruses. We also use small micron air filters for the heating and cooling system and the hot tube is carefully maintained with high Bromine levels. Originally designed as a "mother-in-law" apartment, this 800 square foot property is the lower half of a lake home with a private entrance. The owners travel frequently and are often not present. If they are present, the patio, backyard and dock are for exclusive use of the guests during their stay. It's usually peaceful and great for relaxing and fishing. However, in the summer and during holidays, particularly during weekends, neighbors with children and wakeboard boat owners are often present and proud of their sound systems, lol. We're on the main channel and they can rock the dock both acoustically and literally. Twin Creeks Marina is less than 10 minutes by power boat, 15 by car. It has a full-service marina, boat rental and floating restaurant in season. We're 30 minutes from the Jack Daniels Distillery, 90 minutes from Nashville, 75 minutes to Chattanooga and 60 minutes to Huntsville. In addition to water sports, Tims Ford lake has bass fishing tournaments (lake fish include: Bass, Rockfish, Crappie, Walleye, Catfish, Bluegill and Drum). The small historic town of Winchester is 12 minutes away with groceries, several restaurants, a historic two-movie theater and a nearby Drive-in. There are excellent hiking trails near by such as Fiery Gizzard and Stone Door. There's plenty of wildlife including Deer, Red Fox, Red-Tailed Hawks, Blue Heron and an occasional Bald Eagle. With an active Neighborhood Watch program, this lakefront neighborhood is safe and friendly but we do have a security camera watching the parking area just to be on the safe side. Although there is a whip mooring system on the floating dock, it's only for jet skis or very light boats (under1200 pounds). Larger boats should never be left unattended due to large waves produced by storms and wakeboard boats that can damage both boat and dock. The boat ramp and boat parking area are only 500 yards from the house. The floating dock has a Bluetooth controlled sound system, night accent lighting and USB phone charging port (all via low voltage DC power -- safe for swimmers).

Our new home was built to be the perfect vacation rental home for one (or multiple) families. Home offers three private master bedrooms (separated by common areas), all with king beds and each with its own large private bathroom. In addition, there is a bunk room with twin/full bunk and one double/twin trundle with its own private bathroom as well as a day bed in the bonus room (full size but only 70" long). Nice open family room with vaulted ceiling (gas fireplace) and dining area overlooking the lake. An amazing kitchen with every amenity, including two dishwashers and two refrigerators. Lower level has a huge bonus room with TV, foosball, combo game table (pool, hockey and more) plus wet-bar with refrigerator. There is a utility room with washer/dryer on both levels. Two huge covered decks overlooking lake (1,500 sf). Upper deck offers a large gas grill, sitting area, dining table for 8, and a screen porch with hanging day bed and a 4-top dining table. Lower deck includes sitting area, dining table, and a 7-person hot tub (additional fee applies to use hot tub for less than 7-day rentals). The view from both decks looks out over the cove. We also have a fire pit area between the lake and the house. Across the cove is wooded TVA land with lots of wildlife (deer, raccoons, eagles, herons, and more). Both upstairs rooms have two full size beds, a chair, and a dresser to store your clothes during your stay. The second floor has a full bath with two separate sinks and a full shower/bath. There is also a small reading nook on the second floor that is the perfect place to catch up on your favorite book or just watch the deer that walk through the trees across from the cabin. Children are welcome but the house has not been "childproofed."

Good fishing from our dock as well (bring your own poles and gear). You will have dock access to use our dock with a covered boat slip. Besides the slip, there is plenty of room to tie up a second boat or Jet Ski. The dock has an open deck area (about 18' x 8') for sunning, fishing and hanging out. There is also two covered areas (about 4' x 20 each'). We have a table, chairs (8) and umbrella for your use. Great swimming off the dock (there is a ladder) . From the cabin, the view of the lake is blocked by tree's in the summer but pretty open in the winter. NOTE - Our dock is down a relatively steep hill with a paved path (first 100 yards or so) and then less steep mulched path (about 50 yards or so). There are no steps. You are welcome to use our two kayaks, canoe and paddle board (paddles supplied but please bring your own life jackets - WE DO NOT PROVIDE LIFE JACKETS - Life jackets are a TN state law and are required to use our canoe, kayaks or paddle board). Our neighborhood has a boat ramp that you will have access to use. From the cabin, the view of the lake is blocked by tree's in the summer but pretty open in the winter. Winchester is about 10 minutes away. Walmart, Kroger and other shopping as well as restaurants. Jack Daniels Distillery about 20-25 min. We have WIFI and YouTube TV. There is a 32" TV and a DVD player that you can hook up to for movies. We do have some games.
